IT industry analyst firm The METISfiles has released updated versions of the Swedish and Danish Public Cloudscape. Designed to highlight the local XaaS provider ecosystem, Cloudscapes provide a snapshot of who the most important cloud providers are and in which cloud segments and categories they specialize.
Versions 1.2 now visualize 250 (up from 200) Swedish and 225 (up from 175) Danish providers. Compared to Version 1.1 (2016) some key trends include:
- The percentage of SaaS providers that have an IaaS partner increases from 67% to 76% in Denmark and from 62% to 67% in Sweden.
- 5% of SaaS providers in Denmark and 6% in Sweden now have SaaS infrastructure deployments in multiple countries often with multiple partners. In 2016 this was not the case.
- The percentage of IaaS providers that partner with global cloud players such as Amazon and Microsoft has increased from 27% to 53% in Denmark and from 20% to 27% in Sweden.
